Turnkey QC laboratory facility

Cleanroom case study: Ipsen Biopharm

The new laboratory building (referred to as Unit 11 Quality Control (QC) Laboratories) comprises of a four-floor building in which the ground floor of the building houses the Microbiology Laboratories and the first floor will house the Analytical Laboratories. The second floor has been left as an empty open plan area for future use and the third floor houses a plant area.

The Unit 11 Quality Control Laboratories carry out testing to support the control and release of product. The QC Analytical Laboratories carry out chemical and biochemical testing of raw materials, in-process and finished product samples. The QC Microbiology Laboratory is primarily used for microbiological testing of in-process samples and the Bulk Active Substance, environmental and personnel monitoring, sterility testing and endotoxin testing.

" I would like to express my gratitude on behalf of Ipsen for the excellent job you have done with the design and build of the new laboratory building. A pleasing aspect of this project was the interaction between your subcontractors and the appointed Ipsen representatives as this created a dedicated core team with a common goal of providing a quality facility on time and on budget. The camaraderie that was built up amongst the personnel ensured that our meetings were always open and friendly and this is a great credit to all as it created an excellent working environment.

Projects which are on time, on budget and with no one falling out with each other are extremely rare, and I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you and well done to everyone for ensuring that their teams made things happen so that we finished the job on time.

I personally look forward to working with you all again and would have no hesitation in recommending you for similar projects. "
